Dear visitors of the Wire Rope Technology website!

“Is Roland still working?” This is the most frequently asked question to Wire Rope Technology Aachen.

Yes, Roland is still working. He is not doing it for the money, he is doing it because the work is so interesting.

At the age of 73 Roland is still involved in big industrial projects, in interesting lawsuits, in promising wire rope research and game changing software development. And from time to time he adds another brochure to this website.

Every day we get positive comments from engineers and students from all over the world about the content we provide for free. And we want to keep it like this.

Benedikt Dolzer has given our website a new look, and Ricardo Muniz is busy translating our brochures into Spanish.

We just renovated our offices, we added new furniture, and we replaced carpet floors by elegant wooden floors. So we are prepared for the next 10 years to come. In 2033, the age of 83, Roland will reconsider retirement.

Roland is still giving seminars on reeving systems, rope design, rope manufacture, rope installation, rope inspection and maintenance and on other, more specific topics requested by the customer.

But of course our work is not only theoretical. If you have problems with your ropes or reeving systems, do not hesitate to contact Wire Rope Technology. We have a long tradition in solving rope related problems.

If you are involved in a court case related to ropes or rope applications, ask us to represent you as an expert witness. Roland has worked in court cases involving damages from a few thousand to much more than a billion dollars. But it is not a question of how much money is involved. We just do not want the wrong party to be convicted. And we want everybody to understand what has happened so that it can be avoided in the future.

If you have a rope problem, do not hesitate to contact us at r.verreet@t-online.de or r.verreet@ropetechnology.com. Roland will come running to help you.
